Episode 17: Women's Equality Day Celebration

Women's Equality Day Celebration
Each year, since 1973, August 26th has been known as Women's Equality Day. This celebration dedicated to the women's equality movement started by the 19th Amendment in 1920. It celebrates this historical change and the changes that followed specifically around women's voting rights which lead to the 1965 Voting Rights Act which granted African American women the right to vote. Today, this day reminds us of how far we have come and also the work that is yet to be completed. On the podcast today, I am joined by two women who are leaders and professionals that exemplify what it means to stand up for other women around them and for equal rights. Amber Huston, CAE and Jaime Smith, CMP are powerhouses of strength and positivity. I hope you will join us for this casual conversation discussing all things women's equality.
